Norsk for Beginners is a podcast aimed at beginners of Norwegian (A1-A2). The episodes are structured in two parts: One Norwegian speaking part and the second in English, explaining the Norwegian part and examining some Norwegian vocabulary used in the episode. I speak Norwegian in a clear, slow and deliberate manner, perfect for beginners. Get some listening practice by listening to “Norsk for Beginners”!

Happy Sunday!
I am so happy to have discovered your teams material! My grandparents immigrated to the US in the 60’s and unfortunately my dad was raised speaking only English. I remember as a teenager being super interested in learning Norsk but it was terribly hard in the early 2000’s because we didn’t have stuff like this and you can’t really find someone to speak with easily in Florida. So I devoted hours writing and memorizing vocabulary and watching Norsk films with English subtitles. My parents sent me to Norway to visit family in 2008 and it was one of the most memorable trips in my life. I remember when I was there, I was able to understand children easier because they seemed to speak slower and clearer. Your podcast feels the same way and I am super grateful for it! Thanks for everything yall are doing, you’ve reinvigorated my old desire to become conversational in the language my grandparents and overseas family speak!
Thank you for sharing your story. I am so happy to hear my podcast has given you some new motivation to rekindle the language. Masse lykke til 🙂
